winapi - Information sought on filesystems and high-performance memory-mapped data stores on Windows -
I have recently taken responsibility for an important system, which is a memory-mapped IO, multi-threaded (local ) Customers, and an interesting mix of obstacles, it has to be compiled with a combination of serial and indexed data, with different levels of space-3D data.
Performance is important, which is capable of working with gigabytes of data on Win32, but working on XP, but I only need to worry about Windows implementation, it has been mostly implemented But I'm worried about debugging and improving performance.
Where am I looking for suggestions on study, book recommendations, topics etc. I have 25+ years of experience that includes writing QuickTime and a lot of work with ISAM data stores, but there is no need to worry about performance and cache strength in this type of system. I do not have the education of traditional computer science, so if I have a theoretical difference that I need to fill, please tell me!
I'm considering those areas which are some games, file system implementation, GIT interiors and books such as Maurice Harlihai.
