optimization - PHP Timeouts and FTP function -

In implementing a backup script, in which I have described, I went into issues that ended some time, (I.e., make a file up for every execution of the backing script, and I'm calculating very large data files, which I can do.

Now Until, this timeline has expired, but Looking at the size of the files, surely there is definitely a room for transfer to take more than 30 standard allotted before a script time. If this happens, then I believe that the file is only partially transferred. There is no way to protect from this?

Note that I am working on a shared-hosting environment, so editing the php.ini file is not an option. .

If this is enabled, you can call. Alternatively, if you use the command line (Via cron or similar), the maximum execution time does not apply.
