I think Microsoft and Google are embracing jQuery but is it good?

Embracing jQuery

Is it good or bad that the likes of Microsoft and Google are embracing jQuery?

In case of Microsoft & amp; Google both offer free hosting on their cdn (awful) and they are accumulating the facilities in Microsoft's case (perhaps good?)

upside down or downside

Though think about this .. With jQuery packaging with user studio (for example) you can end up with library dependent sites rather than older versions ...

In my case i already Laint 1.3 code is running, when my work was dependent on improved features of 1.4. However, these customers do not have the resources to update their old code ...

This is a minor defect in Java and Net for a long time. ..but most of the jQuery has not noticed this ...

Question

Will this "hug" benefit the community or hurt it, and with older versions Will get stuck?

What do you think?

If I'm completely sincere, then I'm not interested in jQuery, very comfortable with Microsoft For one, the improvements that Microsoft is suggesting and the IMO should not be added to the jQuery core, some of them are just unnecessary and some JS go against the best practices: eg Their, which they want to add to the core of jQuery, are both bloated, implemented badly and the needs of 99% of jQuery developers are not addressed.

I am happy that developers are embracing jQuery on MS, but I do not see why it is necessary to add all this crazy stuff in the core. Are they not satisfied with anything less than the permanent inclusion in the core? How about a simple plugin?
