I have a Flex application that uses Google Maps component. Is it possible to configure component to use Google Maps API v3 without the API key? If not, is there an alternative solution for using the JavaScript API? Or is there a deadline to provide SEC to use Google Maps API v3?
I currently do geocoding the client side using the Google Maps API v3 webservice, but I also have the permission to display the map and interact with the user. First of all, realize that Javascript API and Flash API are different APIs.
I think they will be porting the API key to the Flash API soon.
However, I have not used Flash API in a while and Google may be far away from maintaining it, it is doubt that they will be though. They have invested in a lot of Flash APIs.
