user interface - How would you use Aero glass in UI design -

I have several utilities that were written in the earlier days and are very dated. So I recently set them to use the Windows theme and wanted to include some Aero Glass effects.

The thing is, I'm not quite sure what is the proper use of IE7 and now the Firefox 4 glass is the top part of the window, including the toolbar, but it is not really applicable in my case. I have seen many apps that only extend the glass boundary in every round, but it not only shows the content of the glass tight. Then which corner is often handled by adding the open space acres.

What is the proper way to incorporate the Arrow effect in the screen design? Or to decide whether to use it at all or not? Any good design references that deal with it, or maybe nuggets of knowledge?

Update: To make it clear, these are not our main applications, but many utility screens that do this or that. Not very complicated, there is only one form with some editing controls and potential lists. A strip of buttons on the bottom, however, as a rule, it seems that now is the standard for using Aero on the menus and toolbars, but without a toolbar, there is no standard on the app that I could get.

I do not think there is any "standard" to use the arrow effects. Every app uses a glass effect differently, so use it in a way that makes sense for your app.

Your windows really do not need it, however, if they are 'just the forms you can extend the glass to cover the strips of the buttons given below but it's about it. Honestly, do not think that by not taking advantage of the glass effect, your application will become ugly; You can find it very good without the Aero interface :)
