Does anyone know how HTML 5 data attributes ( data - * ) in XHTML Can the markup be started as invalid?

Is there a custom namepacing hack that will allow it on existing HTML elements?

You can use then your markup will be XML and valid XHTML5.

I think you can also use XML names to use on XML 1 instead of XML - I am not very familiar with XML, so I'm not sure is.
