content management system - Using one Wordpress install that gives different domains for article pages -
today's status
I currently have an X standalone news site with each their own domain (News.sitename .co.uk, news.sitename.com, news.sitename.com.au etc.). To publish articles for specific domains, a journalist uses a custom-built CMS. On a domain, a reader can view only that domain on that domain which is published on that domain. Finally, in each article published, there is only one URL for that domain which has been published.
Where I want to receive
I have gone to a new CMS. Any journalist has published content on any country's domain in the network (let's call it 'parent donation' ) And - The hard part - Allows any reader to see the article from any domain that is on the user.
So, for example, the U.K. As a user coming to the site, I can choose to display content on the UK site which has been published in other 'Parental domains' (.com.a., com etc.).
I comment on
> The issue of an article with many URLs in many TLDs. Is this possible in Wordpress / Advice?
I assume that to work for the above scenario, WordPress will have to give each article that has been published to a 'parent domain' which is a list of all other URLs other domain So that the article can be displayed on all those domains? Can WordPress do this? We must have specified the search engine as the preferred version of the URL (the country's site, which the journalist initially tagged it).
Is this the best way?
I appreciate that this is not your typical WP installation, but if someone knows how to handle it best I would appreciate the input very much.
Basically Since we are looking to provide a user experience, we publish content from a country's news site to other 'basic domains' from other places on which they are far away from their favorites. From the site.
Finally
We are looking at outsourcing the development of this project and I welcome any approach to that interest. After this I can provide more information to those who answer.
Thanks,
Dave
If I do everything If you understand correctly, then you want same content in different domains: if a user is co.uk or .com , you To give your users a "better localized" experience, you want to have a domain entered in your browser.
Do not do that.
User is not a better experience, it does not seem that you are in this setup, only if you were providing different content based on the domain. When you visit your content from different domains, you do not need to keep your users separate, Redirect them . In fact, those who want to do more harm want because it is good content duplication : The following guide, to get you a document (p.9 / 22) Version should be given. This does not mean that you are dividing the reputation of the content between the URLs.
Select a major URL (if .Q.X is more important because you have a business in London, IMO paste it) and do it.
You do not need to change Wordpress to your CMS to make these redirects. But if you are using old, proprietary CMS, and would like to change, then Wordpress is a great solution and this plugin ecosystem is really good.
Good luck and welcome!
