I'm running UBUNTU, tried Linux and Boum, which can show the project in the structure of a tree, but I am unable to think on full system statistics.
I think this is not a direct programming question, but hopefully it can be answered anyway here.

I'm not sure which format you have, but I think you have an XMI and in that format any image specific information It's about the model, which is usually represented using the tree structure, because it is the easiest way to visualize a model for a diagram, and most importantly any light Layouts algorithm must be used for the layout. Large layout is especially difficult for layout with many organizations and diagrams can be prepared in the layout automatically, which are confusing.
Starting with UML There are many books and places with which I recommend a book, eg a recent release of the portal of modeling languages from a Martin Foweller or Ela Nestedt and Jim Arlow.
