Targeting Mobile and Desktop Browsers - ASP.NET MVC2 with MS Web Application Toolkit and Sencha Touch -

I am creating a web app that I want to do:

  • <
  • Presenting as non-web toolkit browser (such as desktop browsers) such as IE, Firefox, Opera
  • Basic UI capabilities of mobile devices (like iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android Phone)

My research has brought me to use the following technologies:

  • My dev filter Asp.NET MVC 2 for CES (write different views for each target device)
  • The senchacha touch (which is called earlier) for rendering in the browser of each separate mobile device is called < / Li>
  • Microsoft Web App Toolkit

To differentiate between the requested device / browser type, I have no particular experience in 3 technologies (I have a lot of C # Server-side, Winform and ASP. Are developing 2), so I do not really able to go digging on the web How do I know if I based on this decision.

Can anyone think of a reason that this combo technology will not work? My main concern is how can I erase the Touch Touch in this solution with the MS Web Application Toolkit. In fact, in this case both of them are also important.

Any suggestions or feedback was greatly appreciated.

Speaking from personal experience, I do not have to use I use asp.net and simple javascript to design mobile sites and I do not have many problems.

If you want to target a wide range of devices and do not want to bother with different scenes, then you need to make sure that you are not using a comprehensive JavaScript because many Low end devices do not support Javascript. For example jQuery WebKit works fine on the browser, but it's not on pocket ie.

I have no experience with the MS Web App Toolkit, but it seems JavaScript support is required and I suspect that this will work many phones.

If your main goal is mobile but you want the desktop browser to reach your site, you can change the CSS to make the font bigger, so it will look good on PC

< P> My motto Mobile design keep it as simple as possible.
