IM is planning to use Intel Atom on board for an embedded system, image processing is going to be embedded in the image processing program. To be written in C Since its embedded system footprint is clearly a matter of concern. Any other options I was thinking about using the modified version of the Linux kernel ??
I have written my own O / S for embedded system, so I'm not even sure I want to try a project, though it will not be enough for what you want to do. If you have more ressources then you want Pappy Linux or Small Small Linux. All of them must be a compiler which will suit your needs.
