What I'm trying to do here is that I am using ejabberd with mod_logdb databases tagged with date All conversations are logged in to a table.
ex: logdb_messages_2010-7-17_server_node
What I'm trying to do is write down a search that will see a lot like this in all these tables without killing DB I would like to make all the data in the table, so I can kill it.
The problem may be that there is no log and, of course, the day before entering the first one.
Is there any way that I can prevent MySQL from using a wildcard? My other second though I have to write a daily cron job to reproduce the scene I need.

You should be queryed, as long as you control the schema Do not and can not be done at the first place by mistake.
If you can not, you will have to dynamically generate a prepared statement.
