SharePoint calculated column using "Created" results in 12/30/99? -

I'm using a formatted date field. That's why I have created a calculation column with the following formula: = TEXT (created, "m / d / yy") . The data type is the date and time . Date and time format: only date .

I added the column and the new column is working properly in all the existing entries for this list. However, when a new item is added, my calculated column shows 12/30/99, if I look at a list column and it updates all the items in the list, it is updated and the column Is displayed properly

Is there another way or a way around this?

First of all, the newly added items in the list work fine. This was when I got an item Had revised that the date had been incorrectly dropped by 12/30/99. In the fixed bracket created was wrapping [built] . I am still curious what is happening if anyone cares about debugging or answering; -)
